The Rotary Club of Chelwood Bridge

Formed about 13 years ago and is one of 1500 clubs in the UK, and one of 52 clubs in Rotary District 1200 which covers Somerset, West Wiltshire and West Dorset. We meet for dinner most Tuesdays at the Carpenters Arms, Stanton Wick, near Bristol for an enjoyable evening of fellowship, conversation, discussion, planning of projects and often an interesting speaker. Visitors are always welcome, for location see details below.

To join one must be of good character and of a good business/professional reputation. One must also live or work in the locality and we prefer to recruit people between the ages of 30 and 55. People who have recently retired from a business or profession and who, but for their retirement, would have fulfilled the criteria set out above are also eligible for consideration. For further information please email our secretary  Adrian Miller.

The Carpenters Arms is situated in the tiny Hamlet of Stanton Wick, overlooking the beautiful Chew Valley yet only 8 miles from the hustle and bustle of Bristol, 8 miles from the civilised culture of Bath and 13 miles from the Cathedral in the City of Wells. It is converted from a row of 17th Century miners' cottages.
