Chelwood Bridge Rotary Jazz Fish ’n Chip night

The Jazz Fish n’ Chip night held in the Chew Valley School hall on the 16th March succeeded in raising more than £1000 for Rotary International charities and the school World Challenge trip to China project.

150 guests were entertained by the Alexander Jazz band and fed by David Milton and the School catering team – the general consensus was that the fish and chips were excellent and a number of Rotarians are now enquiring as to whether they can go to the school for lunch every Friday!

10 members of the World Challenge team were on hand to collect the tickets, serve food and clear away the tables.

A game of ‘reverse bingo’ and an auction of giant chocolate Easter eggs raised over £500.

Richard Clarke, Chairman of the Rotary Club International committee, would like to thank all all involved for their help and generosity.
